BREAKING NEWS | Judge orders 3 early-voting days restored in Ohio

Published: Wed, June 11, 2014 @ 3:36 p.m.

COLUMBUS (AP) — A federal judge is ordering Ohio’s elections chief to restore the final three days of in-person, early voting in the swing state.

The order comes in a long-running dispute over the days. President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign and Democrats filed a lawsuit in 2012 against the state’s elections chief over an Ohio law that cuts off in-person early voting for most residents three days before Election Day.

The law makes an exception for military personnel and Ohio voters living overseas. Democrats claimed that was unequal treatment, and everyone should have the chance to vote on the three days.

A federal judge today agreed and issued a permanent order calling for Secretary of State Jon Husted to set uniform hours on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday before Election Day.

Time to get these activist judges planted by Clinton and Obama out of office for good - take out the trash, and rid our country of their meddling against the will of society. Folks continue to reap what they sow - pretty soon the whole darn state of Ohio is going to become the cesspool that Youngstown has been under democrat control for all these years.

I'd love to know how you plan to get these activist judges out of office Nacho. They're appointed for life. By the way, how is it society's will to restrict voting? While we're talking about meddling against society's will, can you please explain how the majority of the country votes democrat but the House of Representatives is controlled by republicans? It's called gerrymandering and it's the very definition of meddling with the will of the people.

YtownNative is right. Darrell Issa and the rest of the repubs on House Oversight are idiots for pointing the finger at the Obama Administration when it was them and the rest of the repubs in the House that voted to cut the budget for embassy defense by several hundred million dollars. Maybe they can focus on that in the next useless Benghazi hearing.
