Along with his regular programming, Free will welcome former Youngstown Police Detective Sgt. Anita Davis at 9 a.m.

Hired in 1978 as part of a wave of the first female officers at the department who were assigned to street duty, she retired this May after 35 years on the job. She'll share her opinions on the future and past of Youngstown based on her extensive experience as an officer.

I hope she mentions how a federal affirmative action lawsuit against the city spiraled her career by giving her a promotion she might otherwise have never garnered, while denying white or majority officers the same luxury.

@handymandave - You shouldn't denigrate this woman. She has fought for the rights of ALL people, including people who may be classified as racist. She is a good woman and I wish her well.

You can't denigrate by telling the truth. If you are easily offended by the truth, perhaps listen to Obama. You will hear consistent lies from him.
