24 students awarded scholarships from Cafaro Foundation

The Cafaro Foundation awarded 24 students from the Mahoning Valley with scholarship funds.

Altogether the scholarships amounted to $57,000 — a new high — with individual scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.

Winners of the William M. and Alyce Cafaro, John A. Cafaro and Donald P. Pipino Memorial Scholarships are: Richard Jenkins Jr., Mallory Allen and Rayann Atway of Canfield High School; Alessandra Corradi, Samantha Niznik, Abigail Beadle, Scott Williams and Claire Beadle of Austintown Fitch; Peter Berarducci of Boardman; Kimberly Cordy, Jeremy Borton, Nathaniel DeRenzis, Nicholas Narkum, Gregory Sop Jr. and DeAndre’ Brown of Liberty; Corbin Croom of Chaney; Alexandra Colacino, Kaylyn Hoschar, Mara McCloud, Joseph Sebest and Jerica Day of Ursuline; Melinda Hannon of Poland Seminary; Joshua Schlueter of Crestview; and Andrew Wollet of Cardinal Mooney.

The Cafaro Foundation was established in memory of William M. Cafaro, the founder of the real-estate development and management company based in Youngstown.
