Wilson named Cardinal Mooney coach

Cardinal Mooney High School has announced the selection of Erica Wilson as girls basketball coach for the 2014-15 season.

Wilson has twelve year’s of coaching experience, most recently serving as assistant girls varsity coach at Cardinal Mooney. Previously, she served as the head girls basketball coach at Niles McKinley High school (2011-2013). Wilson played collegiate basketball at Mt. Union College and scholastically, at Niles McKinley.

“Erica brings not only experience to our staff but also familiarity with our expectations and goals,” Principal John Young said. “She has taught physical education for four years at St. Christine’s School and demonstrated her regard for the values represented by our school system. We are proud to add her to our athletic staff.“

Currently, she is completing work on a master’s degree at Canisus College in Buffalo, N.Y. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Mt. Union College and holds teaching license’s in physical education both in Ohio and New York.
