Published: Tue, July 29, 2014 @ 12:10 p.m.

SALEM — The Salem Regional Medical Center reminds the community the elevator located in the professional services building across from the hospital will be out of service for maintenance from 5:30 p.m. Friday through 11 a.m. Monday.

The elevator will be returned to service no later than 11 a.m. Monday.

Medical center officials in an email said stairwell access to the elevated walkway will be available throughout the weekend to get to the professional services building.

Officials also are advising patients and visitors who will be arriving at the hospital during this time to use the hospital’s new parking deck or the parking lots located on the south side of State Street off Southeast Boulevard and Pershing Street.

Parking is free in the parking deck and throughout the entire SRMC campus.

Any questions regarding the temporary change may be directed to the hospital’s public relations/marketing department at 330-337-2895.
