Published: Mon, July 21, 2014 @ 11:55 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — A new Mobile Audiology Clinic will be available Tuesday and Wednesday to patients at the Youngstown Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic, 2031 Belmont Ave.

Staffed with two audiologists, the mobile clinic will travel to VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) and other locations as needed, delivering audiology services where none were previously available.

The mobile clinic features an audio booth and equipment that allows the audiologists to perform complete hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings, and post fitting appointments.

The mobile clinic, funded by a grant from the VHA’s Office of Rural Health, will visit the following CBOCs in the next month: Ravenna, Aug 4-5 and East Liverpool, Aug. 12-13.
