Man breaks window in Campbell, turns self in to police

CAMPBELL

A 51-year-old man who says he is homeless turned himself into city police after breaking a window at Vasu Manor, a Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority-owned property on Roosevelt Drive, late Thursday.

The man, Clifton V. Jennings, has been charged with criminal trespass and criminal damaging, and he is scheduled to answer to those charges at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Campbell Municipal Court.

Police investigated the damage after Jennings reported it shortly before midnight. The police report notes that Jennings was suspected of using alcohol. Jennings was arrested, issued a $225 cash bond and held in the city jail.
