CenturyLink opening training facility in Warren

Published: Mon, July 14, 2014 @ 3:09 p.m.

CenturyLink is opening its regional training facility in downtown Warren.

Each year the facility will host at least 100 CenturyLink employees from throughout the Midwest. The training efforts will include cable splicing, high speed Internet and fiber training.

The training facility won’t have any full-time employees, but it will bring workers for CenturyLink to the area all year long, said Joanette N. Romero, CenturyLink’s market development manager for Ohio. There are already courses scheduled for the next several months. The center will be located at 220 S. Park Ave.
