Protest against Israel planned Monday in downtown Youngstown

Published: Sun, July 13, 2014 @ 4:06 p.m.

The Arab Community Center of Liberty is sponsoring the demonstration

YOUNGSTOWN

The Arab American Community Center of Liberty will hold a demonstration at 3 p.m. today at the Federal Courthouse on Market Street across from the Mahoning County Courthouse regarding the conflict in Gaza in the Middle East.

A press release from the center says the demonstration will be held to “voice our opinion” against Israel’s actions.

The New York Times reported Sunday that the death toll among Palestinians is 158, at least half of them noncombatants, and more than 1,100 Palestinians have been injured.

How about voicing an opinion about launching thousands of missile's at civilian populations.
One side of this conflict uses missile's to protect people, the other side uses people to protect missile's. You can be assured these "Arab Americans" won't have a word to say about the terrorist aspect of thousands of rockets and missile's falling on the heads of Jew's. You FOOLS are supporting TERRORIST'S.

I think it can be pretty poignantly illustrated this way, one society uses rockets to protect their civilians, the other uses civilians to protect their rockets.

Col. Richard Kemp, former Commander of British Forces in Afghanistan, said: "The use of the civilian population by Hamas is undoubtedly a war crime because not only are they hiding themselves under a civilian population, [but] they are also putting the civilian population at risk. In my view, if there are civilian casualties, the responsibility does not lie with the IDF, but with Hamas, who deliberately placed them there."

I don't understand why Israel responds in this manner any more. They have the enormously successful Iron Dome strategy so it would seem more effective to simply report out when Palestinians launch rockets and give them a black eye as the party that is trying to kill civilians.

Maybe Israelis don't understand how media relations work.

Outlawed by whom? the US still uses depleted Uranium and White Phosphorus as well as Cluster munitions.

If any country or terrorist group fired over a 1,000 rockets with the express purpose of killing civilians we'd flatten their entire country. Israel is showing remarkable restraint they even warned residents to leave before they started bombing.

Its not the IDF's fault that Hamas hides these rockets in civilian homes, hospitals, and Mosques.

If you put a weapon of war in your holy place don't cry when it gets bombed.
