Sessions in the area
Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will run on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline. Send the information to the Religion Desk by email to firstname.lastname@example.org; by fax to 330-747-6712 and marked for religion desk; or by mail to The Vindicator, P.O. Box 780, Youngstown, OH 44501-0780. For verification, include a name and phone number of a contact person, which will not be published.
New Covenant Worship Center, 1900 Canfield Road, Youngstown: “Super Heroes vs. Bible Heroes” is the theme of the free program planned from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 21-25. It will include music, crafts, games, snacks and stories. Children from 3 years old (must be potty-trained) to 12 years (sixth grade) may participate. New Life Lutheran Church, 1181 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, Liberty: “Blast Off,” a mission to discover God’s incredible love and share it with others, is the theme of the event planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. next Saturday. Three-year-olds to sixth-graders may participate in the free program that will include team-building games, crafts, songs and Bible stories. Lunch and snacks are included. St. Charles Borromeo Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman: “Beach Party, Surfin’ Through the Scriptures” is the theme of the program planned from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 28-Aug. 1 for 4-year-olds to fourth grade. The activity is a joint project of Westminster Presbyterian, Bethel Lutheran Church and St. Charles. Cost is $5 per child; make checks payable to St. Charles Parish and return with registration form to the religious education office. Early registration, with a gift, is by July 20. Meridian Road, Youngstown: “Weird Animals” is the theme of the program planned from 5:45 to 8:30 p.m. July 21-25 for 4-year-olds to sixth-graders. There is no registration fee.
