Church dedication


Restoration Christian Fellowship Church will conduct a building dedication at its new location, 760 Main Ave. SW, at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Guest speaker will be Presiding Bishop F. Josephus Johnson II of Beth-El Fellowship of Visionary Churches, Akron.

Special music will be presented by the RCF Praise and Worship Team and Mass Choir.

The Rev. Joseph E. Walker is senior pastor, and Elder Kimberly D. Walker is co-pastor.

Labyrinth walk


Villa Maria will host a guided labyrinth walk from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on the grounds of Villa Maria Community Center.

The labyrinth is a tool that allows us to explore our inner space and discover the sacred within and around us.

Guided labyrinth walks are offered at no charge. Free-will offerings are accepted to help continue services that VMESC offers such as Labyrinth Walks and other programs.

‘Pillars of Fire’


“Pillars of Fire,” a musical drama, will be at Bridge of Hope Church, 7580 Glenwood Ave., at 7 p.m. July 26 and 27.

Free child care will be provided for children up to age 5.

Groening lecture


The Bruno Groening Circle of Friends will have a 90-minute lecture featuring Arlene Barkan, leader of the Youngstown and Cleveland Communities and Internet Children’s Community of North America, at 6 p.m. Thursday at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 N. Broad St.

A short documentary film will be shown. Admission is free.

The Circle of Friends is not affiliated with Lord of Life Lutheran Church, or any other religion. Bruno Groening (1906-59) was a German healer who taught about the power of faith in overcoming disease.

Revival planned


Beulah Baptist Church, 570 Sherwood Ave., is conducting a revival at 6 p.m. today and Sunday.

The event will feature mimes, choirs, solo performers and preachers.

Ministries chapter


Pastor Mike Guarnieri will be guest speaker when Youngstown Chapter of Igniting New Life Ministries, an interdenominational ministry, meets July 21 at Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Park, 375 Boardman-Poland Road.

Fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. with ministry at 7.

Church tour


Tours of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., will be offered from noon to 3 p.m. today in conjunction with the Summer Festival of the Arts at Youngstown State University.

On Sunday, a traditional service of Holy Eucharist will take place at 8 a.m., and a more contemporary service will take place at 10:30.
