Movies 8 to reopen

BOARDMAN

Movies 8, commonly referred to as the “cheap seats,” will reopen today with eight theaters offering movies.

All shows will be $3 with a $2 surcharge for 3-D features. For featured movies and show times, go to boardmanmovies8.com.

Cold Stone Creamery in the Shops at Boardman Park will close Saturday after an agreement was made for a new tenant to take the spot.

Details on the new tenant have not been released, but the tenant is expected to make its own announcement.

Party Max in the plaza closed in March. Some potential tenants have looked at the location.

US clean-diesel car sales increase

U.S. clean-diesel car sales have increased 25 percent during the first six months of 2014, while the overall U.S. car market has increased by 4.2 percent, according to data compiled by Hybrid Cars.com and Baum and Associates.
