Farmers National Bank gives back
Farmers National Bank has multiple giving campaigns taking place in the month of July.
First, Farmers is taking inspiration from its Farmers family and asking its customers to help infants all across the Mahoning Valley.
As drivers along route 224 in Boardman have noticed, Emma, the mannequin who lives on Farmers’ billboard near the Southern Park Mall with her husband Ben, is expecting her first child in July. Details to be announced soon on the billboard and on www.farmersbankgroup.com. To celebrate the new arrival, Farmers is sponsoring The Farmers Family Diaper Drop. Bank customers are encouraged to drop off packages of diapers in any size at their local Farmers National Bank branch office. Farmers is partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley to get the collected diapers to local families in need. The diaper drop will take place from July 1-31.
Farmers is also getting social and Akron Children’s Hospital in Boardman will benefit.
In an effort to launch its new Twitter account, Farmers will give $1 to the hospital for every new follower gained in the month of July. The goal is to reach 500 followers. Akron Children’s Hospital will have full discretion to use the funds in any way they deem necessary. To participate, follow @farmersbnkgroup and use the hastag #FarmersTagalong to share with friends. This campaign will end at 5 p.m. on July 31.
The Farmers team has dedicated a two week focus to support Mahoning Valley charities. In the northern district, covering offices in Howland, Niles, Eastwood, Girard, Cornersburg, Austintown, Mineral Ridge and Lake Milton, the staff has volunteered their time at the Children’s Rehabilitation Center of Howland from June 23 - July 11 and those working in Farmers’ southern district, which includes Canfield, Boardman, Poland, Salem, Columbiana and Demascus, hosted a Cash and Can drive for Second Harvest Food Bank and Animal Charities June 23 – July 11.
