Campbell police investigating gun-threat complaint

Published: Thu, July 10, 2014 @ 11:50 a.m.

CAMPBELL — City police are investigating a report of a man with a gun threatening another man who was driving on Devitt Avenue.

Officers responded to the 400 block of Devitt at 8:34 p.m. Wednesday. There, they spoke with a 21-year-old man who told police that a man with whom he recently got in a fist fight saw him driving, then pointed a black and silver handgun with a laser on it at him.

The man said he drove away and called police, and that the man with the gun had been driving alone in a gold car.

Police searched the area, along with the suspect’s home, but were unable to find anyone.
