Published: Wed, July 9, 2014 @ 9:31 a.m.

PITTSBURGH — A 50-year-old Farrell, Pa., man pleaded guilty Monday in federal court here to being a felon with a gun.

Ralph Samuels Jr., who had a prior felony conviction in Ohio, engaged in an Oct. 3, 2012, gunfight with Daniel Odem Jr., in which both men were injured, the U.S. Attorney said. The gunfight stemmed from an earlier bar fight.

Samuels is facing up to 10 years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine when Senior U.S. District Court Judge Terrence F. McVerry sentences him at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 10.
