Woman tells cops she shot herself
A woman was hospitalized after being wounded in a shooting at her LaClede Court home Saturday.
Police were called to the home in the 700 block of LaClede Court about 8:20 p.m. for a report of a woman who shot herself.
Officers arrived along with an ambulance and police roped off the home with crime-scene tape and also spoke to several neighbors while they waited for detectives to arrive. A neighbor who would not give his name said he heard two gunshots just before police arrived.
A police spokesman at the scene said investigators were questioning a man inside in his 80s who lives with the woman to see if she did shoot herself. The spokesman said she managed to tell police she shot herself, but police wanted to make sure.
The name of the woman, who the spokesman said is in her 60s, was not available late Saturday.

He was taken to UPMC Horizon Greenville Campus, where he was pronounced dead.
The crash is still being investigated.
