Dr. Mark Roth, a board-certified general surgeon, recently joined the medical staff of Sharon Regional Health System.
Dr. Roth specializes in general, breast and cancer surgery; laparoscopic surgery including ventral and inguinal hernias, abdominal-wall hernias and colon resections; colonoscopy and gastroscopy; and wound care.
Dr. Roth is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. He received his medical education from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed a general surgical residency at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was previously a general surgeon at Waynesboro Hospital, where he also served as chief of surgery and president of the medical staff.

The local entrepreneurs were awarded with the Inner Circle Elite Award or Circle of Champions Award for outstanding achievement in business growth and customer service. The Inner Circle Elite Award is awarded to the top performers among the company’s agency network for sales of auto, property, commercial and power sports insurance and financial services.
The recipients are Jeff McDevitt of Canfield, Stephen Piersante of Poland, Todd Stovall of Youngstown and Peggy Gum of Youngstown.
Schroedel, Scullin & Bestic, LLC, CPAs and Strategic Advisors of Canfield added Genna D. Notareschi to its accounting team. Notareschi graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting and a master of business administration degree with a concentration in general business.
She served internships in the accounts receivable department of a local manufacturing company and at a local public accounting firm. Notareschi is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs — she served as its YSU Student Ambassador in her senior year of college — and is co-chairwoman on the Young CPAs committee of Youngstown.
