New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., is accepting orders for Smart Choice Food at the church with cash, check, money order or Ohio Direction Card from 11 a.m. to noon July 14.
Orders also will be taken at Niles Community Services, 401 Vienna Ave., from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. July 14.
Box choices range in price from $23 to $39 and include meat, vegetables, convenience meals, breakfast box, kid’s box, burger box and a grill box. There is an 18-pound corn dog box available for $18 with the purchase of any other box. There are no income restrictions or guidelines.
Online specials at www.smartchoicefood.com can be ordered on the website or at the church. Mail-in orders will be accepted with payment of postal or bank money order or certified check to New Hope Church. Payment and mail-in orders must be received by Friday. Online ordering will close at midnight July 16. A 3 percent handling fee will be added to all online orders.
Distribution is from 9 to 10 a.m. July 26. A community breakfast will be served the same day from 9 to 10:30 a.m. For information, call 330-652-3625.
U.S. Route 30 will be restricted Wednesday, and possibly Thursday, for bridge beam removal as part of the $1.3 million project to replace the state Route 267 bridge over U.S. 30 in Madison Township, Columbiana County.
ODOT’s contractor, DOT Construction Corp. of Canfield, will be utilizing the Ohio State Highway Patrol to slow traffic between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. during the operation.
The bridge has been reduced to one 12-foot lane with temporary traffic signals since mid-June. The project is expected to be completed by November.
The YWCA presents a collage workshop by Brenda Myers Cohen from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave. Registration is required by Monday and there is a $10 supply fee. You can bring a lunch if desired. For information, call 330-746-6361.
