First Unitarian Universalist Church, 1105 Elm St., Youngstown, will host a “Voyage of Self-Discovery” program to explore the self in relation to place, family and purpose. The journey will encourage conversations, questions and personal stories along with videos, reflective activities and readings. Discussion will follow. Participants from all faiths and backgrounds are welcome.
Thursday: “Self in Place” — how we live in relationship to our communities.
July 31: “Self in Family” — how we live in relationship to our families.
Aug. 21: “Self in Purpose” — how we live a life rich in meaning and purpose.
Future topics: May include “Self in Relation” to work, fear, body, balance, health, guilt, anger, technology, sexuality, race, gender and passion.
