Poland’s Frank has Ohio Open lead

Poland’s Garrett Frank shot a 5-under-par 67 on Tuesday to take the second-round lead of the Minute Men Ohio Open.

Frank is -9 heading into today’s final round at Westfield Country Club.

Four golfers are two strokes behind: Andrew Bailey (Rocky River), Kevin Hallm (Cincinnati), Tim Ailes (Lewis Center) and Chase Wilson (Zanesville). Ailes and Wilson shot 66 in the second round.

Girard’s Boo Timko jumped up 31 places with his second-round 68. Timko was in 40th place after Monday’s round but is tied for ninth at -4 heading into the final round.

North Lima’s Brandon Pluchinsky shot a 68 and is tied with five others at 29th with an even score. Poland’s Trevor Jones and East Liverpool’s Blake Prince missed the 60-player cut.

Garrett may live in Poland, but he is an Austintown Boy! The article should be titled "Austintown Fitch Grad has Ohio Open Lead."
