Thieves hit Buckeye Wireless, a cell phone store in Boardman

More than $20,000 worth of cash, merchandise and personal property was stolen from Buckeye Wireless, a cell phone store at 4170 Market St., late Thursday.

According to a police report filed Friday, the glass door to the business was broken, and a rock wrapped in a towel was found near the door.

Stolen items included: $100 in cash from the register; $510 in lottery money; $8000 in cash kept under the register; a Toshiba laptop valued at $260; a laptop values at $80; a Dell laptop valued at $500; a MacBook valued at $1800; and dozens of cell phones and cell phone accessories.

A total of more than 60 cell phones were stolen, according to the report.

Township police have yet to name any suspects in the breaking and entering case.
