Ohio teen shot, killed after robbery attempt

Published: Tue, July 1, 2014 @ 1:57 p.m.

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a Dayton clothing store owner fatally shot one of two teenage suspects who tried to rob him at gunpoint.

Police say the two teens entered the Step-N-Style store about 11 a.m. Monday and that one of them pointed a gun at the owner. That’s when police say the owner pulled his own gun and shot the teen.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office identified the boy as 16-year-old Isiah Haggins, Jr. He died at the scene.

Police are still looking for the other teen, who fled.

The owner’s identity has not been released. Police say the shooting appears to be self-defense, and they do not expect to file charges against the owner.

And the parents & grandparents want to know why the owner shot him. Maybe because the little punk stuck a gun in his face? I blame the parents as much as I blame the stupid kid.
