YOUNGSTOWN

A 10-year-old child was shot with a BB gun once in the back on East Judson Avenue on the city’s South Side.

“The circumstances and facts are unclear,” said Police Chief Robin Lees.

A pellet was recovered in the boy’s clothing, according to police.

The incident occurred about 3 p.m. Saturday.

The child was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital, but police say he wasn’t seriously hurt.

No arrest was made as of late Saturday.
