Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available at 11 a.m.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato with cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday; no containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-in orders are welcome. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

West Branch Schools will serve a chicken and biscuits dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria, 14277 S. Main St., Beloit. Dinner will cost $8 for adults and $5 for children. Carryouts will be available (take containers). During the dinner there will be a basket raffle with more than 3O baskets and a silent auction. Tickets for the baskets are $1 each or six for $5. Winning tickets will be drawn after halftime of the basketball game. Winners need not be present; all winners will be contacted by phone. The dinner and raffle are sponsored by the “Keep US West Branch” levy committee.


Braceville United Methodist Church, 589 Park Road, SW, off state Route 82 in the center of Braceville, will serve stuffed pork chop dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. or until sold out. The meal includes mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, homemade desserts, bread, and coffee, tea or punch. The cost is $9 for adults and $3.50 for children. Takeouts are available.

New Waterford United Methodist Church, 46925 S. State St. (Route 46), will host a pasta dinner buffet fundraiser from 4:30 to 6 p.m. There will be a choice of three types of pasta and three sauces. The meal will include garlic bread, salad, beverages and dessert for a donation. There also will be a basket auction and Family Re-gift Bingo. Take wrapped items to use as prizes. North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. for a donation. Menu consists of eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. Knights of Columbus Father Venglaric Council 11915 at St. Charles in Boardman will host a spaghetti and meatballs dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the church hall. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12, and free for children under 6. The dinner will include a salad, bread and butter, beverage and cake. Carryout orders will be available beginning at 10 a.m. Also, the Knights’ spaghetti sauce and meatballs will be available for separate purchase beginning at 10 a.m. the morning of the dinner. Take a container, or the Knights can provide one. A basket auction also is planned. Proceeds will benefit the council’s charitable endeavors.

St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from noon to 4 p.m. The dinner consists of homemade chicken noodle soup, one-half baked chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad, roll and dessert. Cost for adults is $13 plus tax and $6.50 plus tax for age 12 and under. Reservations are needed by Saturday by calling 330-799-0914 or 330-270-9056.

St. Patrick School will sponsor its annual spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Church Hall, 367 N. Main St., Hubbard. Tickets are $7 for adults, $4 for children and free for children under 5. Dinner includes pasta with two meatballs, salad, roll, dessert and beverage. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the school at 330-534-2509 or they will be available at the door. There will be no carryout orders.

St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for beef tips and noodles dinners to go. No need to get out of your car. Meals are $8 and include green beans, bread and cake. Pickup is from 3 to 5 p.m. Jan. 30. The center also is taking orders for wedding soup by the quart. Pickup is from noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 11.
