v “Arsenic and Old Lace,” 8 p.m.: Classic comedy on stage at Trumbull New Theatre, 5883 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles; 330-652-1103.

v Phantoms hockey, 7:05 p.m.: It will be Pittsburgh Penguins night when Youngstown takes the ice against Muskegon. The Penguins ice crew and mascot will be on hand with giveaways at Covelli Centre; 330-747-7825.

v Del Sinchak, 7-11 p.m.: Regional favorite at Kuzman’s polka dance hall, 1025 S. State St., Girard; 330-545-8995.

“Flowers in the Attic” (8 p.m., Lifetime): A harrowing tale of neglect and abuse that mesmerized teens girls who grew up in the 1980s comes to TV in a new film adaptation. Heather Graham and Ellen Burstyn headline the cast, along with Kiernan Shipka (“Mad Men”).

“20th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards” (8 p.m., TNT): Rita Moreno gets a lifetime achievement award in this film and television trophy grab.

LOCAL TOPICS ON TV

“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV, and 11 a.m. on WBCB): The 13th MLK Diversity Breakfast and Awards program will be Thursday at Youngstown State University. William Blake, director of student diversity, and students DeAndre Radcliffe and Frank Walton will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the event and the recipients of the awards that will be given.

Next, songstress Jameela A. Hawkins and producer Apostle Derrick Scott will discuss their new project, “Garments of Praise,” and Hawkins will perform.

“Increase the Peace” (6:30 p.m. today and 6:30 a.m. Sunday on MyYTV): Joining host Andrea Mahone will be Kelan Billal of Excalibur Barber Grooming Lounge in Southern Park Mall; Tony West, co-owner of Ray’s Fish Market; and Joselyn Parker, youth director for the YWCA and Founder of the SPEAK nonprofit organization. The guests will share their business strategies and ideas.

“A Conversation with Dee” (8:30 a.m. on WKBN-TV): Host Dee Crawford’s guest will be Sophia Buggs of The Lots of Green, part of the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp.

Hot Topix event at nightclub

LIBERTY

Hot Topix entertainment group will have a night out next Saturday at The Choice Nightclub, inside the Rodeway Inn on Belmont Avenue.

The event will include dancing to R&B and neo-Soul music, and food options.
