Retrouvaille winter weekend planned

YOUNGSTOWN

Retrouvaille of Youngs-town will sponsor its winter weekend March 7-9 at Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center in Villa Maria, Pa.

Retrouvaille is a peer ministry that helps troubled married couples and focuses on communication. Registration is $100.

Christian unity

GIRARD

The Girard community will join together to mark the international ecumenical Week of Prayer for Christian Unity with a special worship service at 7 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Churchill Road.

Pastors from several different denominations will share in worship leadership, and there will be a combined choir composed of members from different churches.

Men’s rally

Men’s Rally in the Valley team meeting is planned at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 27 at Berlin United Methodist Church, 15611 W. Akron Canfield Road. Speaker will be Larry Paxson.

Bible study

YOUNGSTOWN

St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Ave., conducts a Bible study at 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the rectory dining room. The group meets for about an hour.

Vespers (evening prayer) is scheduled from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays in the church.

Revival planned

YOUNGSTOWN

Bread of Life Church of God in Christ, 702 Cameron Ave., will conduct its second annual “Break the Chains & Be Delivered” Revival at 7 p.m. Monday through Jan. 26.

Elder Joseph Kuykendall is the evangelist and Elder Rocco Wellington, host pastor.

First Friday Club

Bishop George V. Murry of the Diocese of Youngstown will be the featured speaker when the First Friday Club of Greater Youngstown meets Feb. 6 at Antone’s Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St.

The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $15.
