Help Hotline grant will promote 211 in Columbiana County

Published: Sat, January 11, 2014 @ 11:29 p.m.

COLUMBIANA

Help Hotline Crisis Center Inc. received a $500 grant from the FirstEnergy Foundation to promote the 211 information and referral number in Columbiana County.

Last year, more than 10,000 county residents used the Help Hotline services for information and referral-crisis counseling.

The 211 number is a nonemergency number to link people to community resources.

Help Hotline is funded by the Columbiana County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board and the Columbiana Department of Jobs and Family Services.
