Residents from Clare Bridge Austintown and Sterling House Youngstown delivered 15 cups of hot chocolate to Salvation Army bell ringers at different locations in the Mahoning Valley, starting Dec. 4 through the end of the holiday season.
“Our seniors wanted to do something special for the bell ringers and it’s turned out wonderfully for all of us. The ringers came to look forward to a warm treat each week as much as our seniors looked forward to delivering this small measure of holiday cheer,” said Andrea Capirano, Associate Executive Director of Clare Bridge Austintown, a Brookdale senior living community.
Jo for the Road provided hot chocolate at a discount to Clare Bridge Austintown and Sterling House Youngstown.
