3 found in vacant home during cold snap charged with trespass
Police cited three people involving criminal trespass about 3:25 p.m. Tuesday inside a vacant home on the South Side.
Officers were called to a Fairgreen Avenue home by neighbors who said there were people inside. When officers arrived, they found three people who said they were in the home to try and escape Tuesday’s brutal cold weather. They had set a small fire inside to try to keep warm.
The three — Forest L. Webster, 52, of Columbus; Brenda Lee McMinn, 54, of Youngstown; and JayJuan Hardy, 40, of Youngstown — were all issued a summons for criminal trespass and released at the scene. The fire department put out the small fire that was set.
