FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

THURSDAY

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have a drive-through chicken dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out). Dinners consist of stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $6. Drive up to the door, and a volunteer will take the meals to your car. Call 330-549-2588 to reserve your dinners.

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, 155 Tod Ave. NW, Warren, will serve an all-you-can-eat fish dinner from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 4 to 11 and free for kids 3 and under.

SATURDAY

Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will serve a chicken pie dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The meal includes potato, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, bread, beverage and dessert. The cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12; preschoolers eat for free. Takeouts are available; call 330-638-5189.

Ohltown United Methodist Church, 2001 Ohltown Road, will sell carryout homemade chili from 11 a.m. until sold out. The cost is $6 per quart for drive-through service. For information call 330-652-6614 or 330-506-9137.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will host a pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children 10 and under for all you can eat. Proceeds will be used for World Service projects.

SUNDAY

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Via Mount Carmel will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $7 for adults and $4.50 for children. All carryouts are $7. Containers are 75 cents, or you can provide your own.

TUESDAY

First United Methodist Church, 210 S. Main St., Columbiana, will serve a drive-through ham dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The meal consists of a baked ham slice, redskin parsley potatoes, green beans, applesauce and a brownie for a donation of $7. There is no need to get out of your car. Follow the signs on Pittsburgh Street.

TAKING ORDERS

First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, is taking orders for 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls for $7 each, potato soup and chicken noodle soup for $5 per quart and $3 per pint, and fresh-baked bread for $1.50 a loaf. Call 330-647-7515 by Jan. 16. Pickup will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 18.

UPCOMING

Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St., will sell ham loaves from 12:30 p.m. until sold out Jan. 21. The cost is $12 for a package of six. There will be no advance orders. Pickup will be in the fellowship hall.

Kinsman United Methodist Church Trustees will serve a chicken and biscuit dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 15 at the church, 8362 Main St. Tickets are $7.50 for adults, $3.75 for children 4 to 12, and free for children under 3. Takeouts are available by calling 330-876-5641. The church is handicap accessible.

Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown, will serve chicken paprikash dinners from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 19. The cost is $8.50. Reservations are due Jan. 16 by calling 330-792-5124. If ordering takeout, take your own container and save $1.25 container charge. Baked goods will be available for purchase.

A listing of food sales and dinners is published Wednesday. Please submit information for takeout and sit-down dinners to the Society Department before noon Monday.
