A summary of recent criminal activity in Canfield city and Austintown.


Dec. 29

Warrant: Stephen Marsh, 28, of Glenwood Ave., Boardman, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in Youngstown Municipal Court.

Dec. 30

Fraudulent charges: Fraudulent charges were made on a bank account at a home in the 400 block of Hickory Hollow.

Jan. 1

Drug offense: Shane Breckenridge, 20, of Summit Street, SW, North Canton, was arrested on charges of drug paraphernalia and drug possession.

Jan. 3

Drug offense: Corey Sheely, 21, of Berlin Station Road, Berlin Center, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.


Dec. 30

Theft: An Ohio license plate was stolen from Bob and Chuck Eddy’s, 4850 Mahoning Ave.

Menacing by stalking: Unwanted attention was reported by a victim at a home in the 100 block of Moorefield Road.

Identity theft: A Social Security number may have been stolen and used at a home in the 1000 block of Bexley Drive.

Recovered property: A woman’s silver ring with a blue/green stone was recovered in the parking lot at Austintown Immediate Care, 20 Ohltown Road.

Theft: An iPhone 4 was recovered at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road.

Assault: An assault was reported at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Assault: An assault was reported at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Assault: A man was jumped by four other men at South Meridian Road and Elmwood Avenue.

Dec. 31

Drug offense: Tyrone Traylor, 34, of Plum Street, Youngstown was issued a summons charging possession of marijuana.

Burglary: An Xbox was taken from a home in the 100 block of Atlanta Avenue.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account at a home in the 3000 block of Meander Reserve Circle.

Domestic violence: Antoine Black, 30, of Fifth Avenue, Youngstown, was arrested on charges of domestic violence and kidnapping.

Theft: A car window was broken and a purse was stolen with a credit card, then used.

Jan. 1

Burglary: A burglary was reported at a home in the 5000 block of New Road.

Disorderly conduct: Dennis Lange, 23, of Iowa Road, McDonald, was issued a summons charging him with disorderly conduct.

Warrant: Brendan McNeal, 35, of Melrose Avenue, Boardman, was arrested on charges of theft and forgery.

Theft: iPads and clothing were taken from an auto at Quaker Steak and Lube, 5800 Interstate Blvd.

Obstructing official business: David Bidwell, 38, homeless, was arrested on a charge of obstructing official business, and on warrants from Newton Falls, charging illegal assembly or possession of chemicals to produce methamphetamine, and from Summit County for the same charge and for possession of drugs.

Jan. 2

Theft: A wallet was taken from an auto at the BP gas station, 3602 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Zachary Rovder, 19, of W. Rockwell Road, was arrested on two warrants charging him with theft and another warrant charging breaking and entering.

Jan. 3

Lost or stolen property: a wallet and its contents were lost or stolen at Cracker Barrel, 5600 Interstate Blvd.

Fraud: Fraud was reported at Everclear, 3700 Oakwood Ave.

Theft: Checks were stolen from a home in the 500 block of Wilcox Road.

Telecommunications harassment: Harassment was reported at a home in the 200 block of South Raccoon Road.

Jan. 4

Animal complaint: No charges had yet been filed in an incident in the 200 block of South Raccoon Road in which a dog was killed by another dog.

Sex offense: Wilbur Jackson, 46, of Bennington Avenue, Youngstown, was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, drug paraphernalia, rape and kidnapping.

Theft: Pills were taken from an apartment in the 100 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: Paige Wade, 24, of Compass West Drive, Apt. 4, was issued a summons charging theft of clothing and a first aid kit, all valued at $32.97 at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: Four men were chased in their vehicle by township police and Youngstown police and then on foot after a fake prescription for oxycodone was presented at Walgreens, 40 N. Meridian Road, reportedly by Marcus Wilkins, 26, of West Judson Street, Youngstown. He also was charged with deception to obtain a dangerous drug, drug paraphernalia, obstructing official business and failure to comply with an order. Daniel Lindsey, 22, of Windsor Road, Youngstown, was charged with obstructing official business; Eric Coffer, 27, of Hillman Way, Youngstown, was charged with deception to obtain dangerous drugs; and Joseph Lumsden, 28, of North Maryland Avenue, Youngstown, was charged with obstruction of official business. Wilkins also was wanted on warrants for failure to appear on traffic charges and possession of drugs. Coffer was wanted for failure to appear on a traffic charge.
