Pedestrian beaten by four men on North Side

youngstown

A 42-year-old man told city police he was assaulted Sunday by four men who jumped out of a van.

The man said he was walking along Ohio Avenue about 5 p.m. when the van pulled to the corner of Thornton and Ohio avenues, four men jumped out and began coming toward him. He ran but the men caught up to him and one of them brandished a handgun. The man told police he was kicked, stomped and beaten with the gun before the men got back into the van and drove away. He said he didn’t know the men and couldn’t describe what they were wearing.

It could be that this fellow doesn't want a follow up treatment for snitching. Life is cheap in Youngstown.
