The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, is serving a roast beef dinner with a salad and a dessert bar from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost for adults is $10, for children 5 to 12 it is $4, and kids under 5 eat for free. A bake sale will take place during the dinner.
Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, is sponsoring a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The menu comprises Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, bread and butter, beverage and homemade dessert. Takeouts will be available. Adult meals cost $9, meals for ages 5 to 12 cost $4, and kids under 4 eat for free. The church is handicap accessible.
Southington American Legion Post, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the post home. The breakfast includes sausage or biscuits and gravy. Donations are $6.50 for adults, $4 for children under 12, and free for kids under 4.
