Part of the Junior Civic League of Youngstown’s mission is to promote education, and for the third year it’s organizing a Mardi Gras party to raise funds for scholarships. Some of the JCL members on the committee are, from left, Veronica Crafter-Srinivasan, chairwoman; Susan M. Moorer, president; and Yvette Clark-Kirksey, co-chairwoman.
Antone’s Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St., will be the site of the Junior Civic League’s third annual Mardi Gras party from 7 p.m. to midnight March 1.
Dinner, entertainment by Geo & the Storm Band, a 50-50 raffle, a basket auction, beads and a mask will enhance the evening’s festivities.
Tickets cost $35 per person and may be bought from any JCL member. Proceeds benefit the league’s scholarship and education programs.
