Heart disease will be focus of Beat Goes On

YOUNGSTOWN

A community social sponsored by St. Elizabeth Heart and Vascular Center will help raise awareness of heart disease.

The Beat Goes On will take place Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church hall.

A surgery patient, Clyde Stratman, will discuss his survival story, and the surgeon, Dr. Lucas W. Henn, will talk about cardiac valvular disease and trends in treatment.

In addition to the speakers, the event will feature a heart-healthy dinner buffet and informational displays.

Tickets cost $25 per person, $45 per couple and $180 for a table of eight.
