A Coitsville man was labeled as a suspected major drug offender by a Mahoning County grand jury.
The grand jury Thursday indicted Aaron Knupp, 38, of John White Road, on charges of illegal manufacture of drugs, possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs and possession of drugs with a major drug-offender specification.
Knupp lived at the home, which was raided last week by police and deputy sheriffs, who found a large amount of methamphetamine inside, reports say.
The indictment says Knupp received the major drug-offender specification because the amount of methamphetamine found in the home when it was raided last Friday was 100 times over the amount deemed illegal.
The indictment says Knupp had chemicals to produce the drug and that he engaged in the production of the drug as well.
On Jan. 23, court records show, Knupp was indicted secretly on a charge of trafficking in drugs, which was before he was arrested at the raid at his home. He was arraigned on that charge Tuesday and is in the county jail.
Knupp and the others indicted will be arraigned in common pleas court later this month before Judge R. Scott Krichbaum.
