Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center, 325 W. Federal St., will host the second annual Cookie Table & Cocktails fundraiser from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday.
More than 40 amateur and professional bakers will share their confections, and prizes will be awarded adding several new categories that include Best Unexpected Ingredient and Best Twist on an Old Tradition. Carryout boxes will be available.
String Theory, a guitar duo, will entertain, and attendees will be able to participate in a silent auction. Auction items include a personal tour of Oak Hill Cemetery with Bill Lawson, historical society director; an overnight package at the Magnuson Grand Hotel; a dinner party with John McNally, Youngstown mayor; photo prints from the Historical Society; and a basket with a rare bottle of Mill Creek maple syrup.
The events title sponsor is The Waypoint Group of Morgan Stanley in Canfield.
Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased at the Historical Society’s website, www.mahoninghistory.org, or by calling 330-743-2589.
Proceeds will benefit the campaign for the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center exhibits and educational programming.
