Islamic State’s actions dishonor the tenets and teachings of Islam

The so-called “Islamic State” of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) angers me. My mind aches thinking of all those people who turn on the news and see all the evils ISIS has done, defaming the name and religion of Islam. From threatening countless religious and ethnic minorities to convert, die, or pay a fine to destroying churches and bombing holy sites such as the tomb of Prophet Jonah, I cannot believe it is all being done in the name of Islam.

As a Muslim who deeply loves the Quran, I wonder if the members of ISIS have ever picked one up. Why? Their sins to humanity are explicitly opposite Quranic teachings.

Do they not read, “There is no compulsion in religion” (2:257)? Do they not understand that “For you your religion, and for me my religion” (109:7), which allows others to practice freely? These are only two of many examples which clearly oppose ISIS’s ways.

Fox News’ coverage fails to meet the ‘Fair and Balanced’ standard

Don’t you just love Fox News’ famous slogan “Fair and Balanced”? I call it reporting Republican propaganda. The bunch of what I consider liars that Fox has on its payroll like Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly and Chris Wallace wouldn’t stand a chance on any other news network.

If you listen to this bunch, they would have you believe that President Obama is a communist Muslim who was born in Kenya and that he is trying to make a monarchy out of the U.S., plus he is anti business and doesn’t have a birth certificate.

Fox News reports all this good stuff but have you ever heard them praise the president for anything?

Fox News has its group of so-called heroes, people like George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, etc. Everyone that they bow down to are the same ones who put this great country where it is today. George W. and 9/11, G.W. and Katrina, G.W. and Dick and their two unconstitutional wars, G. W. creating the largest deficit ever after he inherited a huge surplus. You would think that Fox News would have reported these inadequacies and condemn Bush’s administration on its “Fair and Balanced” network.

The tea party Republicans and Fox News are in cahoots and if you’re a black man who just happens to be president and wants to help the elderly, veterans, the middle class, women and minorities, then they are going to be relentless in their task to bring you down. The problem with that is President Obama is smarter than all of them put together. What happened in 2008 and 2012, “Fair and Balanced” Fox News? Even with all of the lies and garbage you spread, the American people still knew what you people are like and did the right thing.

See you in 2016 with Hillary.

where to start?
With respect to Obama and Kenyan origin, I remind you that this was first raised as an issue in 2008, not by Fox News nor by one of those eeeeeville Republicans, but it was made an issue by Hillary Clinton. Last I looked, she was running as a Dhimmicrap, not a Republicrat. And where did she first get that idea? She got if from Obumble himself, it was in two books that were issued over his name (though we now know that they were ghost-written). Obama was telling the whole world for years that he was born in Kenya, not in the US. Was he lying then, or is he lying now? Got to be one or the other. Or both.
It has been alleged above that Obama is tremendously smart. Perhaps he is. How about you prove it? Something simple. Release his grades and academic records from schooling. For some odd reason, he's had them sealed up tight. Wonder why? Is it that he's ashamed of them, and that the claims of great brilliance simply come down to "he agrees with the rest of the chorus of dullards, and fits right in"? What we do know is that virtually every thing he touches turns to, umm, "manure". Whether by intent or incompetence or a mixture of both, he's damaging the nation dreadfully. But, there are none so blind as those who will not see.
As a side note, it's been said that when a culture descends further and further into immorality and chaos, the further it goes in that direction the more it will hate those who point out the truth. I think we're seeing that directed in several directions. Fox News seems to be reporting on matters that the ABC-CBS-CNN-NBC-MSNBC-NewYorkSlimes, et all would like to keep quiet. And slimed as a result. And brave men in the churches who call out cultural degeneracy are likewise castigated. I guess you only take flak when you're over the target.

Bud,
"If you listen to this bunch, they would have you believe that President Obama is a communist Muslim who was born in Kenya and that he is trying to make a monarchy out of the U.S., plus he is anti business and doesn’t have a birth certificate."
--
I watch Fox News all the time and I have never heard anyone say that he was a communist M8uslim born in Kenya who is anti-business. Your spin machine is out of control.

"Fox News reports all this good stuff but have you ever heard them praise the president for anything?
---
Well, there is not much to praise, but I do hear Fox news praise him from time to time.

"Fox News has its group of so-called heroes, people like George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, etc. Everyone that they bow down to are the same ones who put this great country where it is today.
--
Try to blame Bush if you want, but those folks don't have anything to do with the mess this Liar has created.

I just threw up after reading these 2 letters and gives us more reasons to deport people for their thinking. Islam is not welcomed in the USA at least not in my world. There is no room for Chrislam either. BHO father was/is a Sunni Muslim from Kenya. You say it is a peaceful religion maybe so, but not until everyone accepts your way of thinking, i do have a copy of you Islam Holy book and will gladly use it for bird cage liner, then burn it, rather than just burn it. So get over it ISIS is Islam

And to the FOX news remarks turn it off no one forces you to watch it. You complain about fair and balanced as you and Chris Mathews get a tingle in leg watching MSNBC. Your little Messiah can not handle being a world leader period. And has more scandals floating around him than most septic tanks. And if you are black and reading this remember this your dude in the oval office has not done to much on the hopey changy thing. In fact Black unemployment is sky high and with this immagration BHO wants you can kiss even more jobs goodbye in this country and that dust on you sore back is not from the salt mines [work] it is from his golf cart tire tracks running you over.

SheDevil is of course correct. My reference was to the issue at a national level, which was in the 2008 election cycle, specifically in the primaries, and which indeed was an issue raised by Hillary. Not Fox News nor some eeeeeeeeville Republican.
Yes, it was raised in the Illinois Senate race, but probably most of us here were blissfully unaware of it. And since the Constitutional requirement for native-born does not apply in Senate races, it wouldn't have raised much attention here.
Odd, is it not, that NBC et al didn't bother to refer to the matter back in 2008? Wonder why.
