Mooney’s Butler medalist in Bishop’s Cup tournament

Canton Central Catholic won the team title, but Cardinal Mooney’s Cait Butler was the dominant player in the Bishop’s Cup golf tournament Friday.

Butler shot a round of 80 at Mill Creek Golf Course to help the Cardinals finish second.

Canton Central Catholic’s Michele Vlacovsky (81) was second among individuals and Cardinal Mooney’s Francesca Strollo (84) was third, giving the Cardinals two of the top three players.

Canton Central Catholic finished with 372 strokes, followed by Cardinal Mooney (383), Warren JFK (385) and Ursuline (440).

Other CCC scores included Teresa Williams (93), Laura Vlacovsky (94) and Morgan Dolan (94).

Mooney’s other players included Christian Dama (103) and Joan Reardon (116).

Nicolette Eddy (93) led Warren JFK. Alexis Eddy (95), Taylor Vassis (97) and Katie Hall (100) also played for the Eagles.

Sydney Heinbaugh’s 85 led Ursuline.
