The speaker will be Betty Strawderman, founder of Betty’s Angels, an organization that seeks to protect the youngest victims of homelessness, sexual abuse, drug addiction and neglect. TRTA will also host ORTA District XI Director Jean Slicker and Dr. Susan Herr, who will conduct free hearing screenings from 11 a.m. to noon. Mary Fuller, hospitality chairwoman, will have centerpieces for sale; profits will benefit Mobile Meals. TRTA will collect candle wax , canceled stamps, cell phones, eyeglasses, hearing aids and yarn.
