Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course got another step closer to its opening today when it took delivery on the first of what will be a total of 850 Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs).
Approximately 24 VLTs from manufacturer Multimedia Games arrived at the Austintown site. Additional shipments are scheduled over the next several weeks from leading manufacturers including Bally Technologies, Konami Gaming, Aristocrat and WMS.
“Physically receiving the first of our VLTs is a big step for us,” said Mike Galle, General Manager of Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course. “We’ll begin installing them soon as construction work continues at a rapid pace on both the interior and exterior of the gaming facility and the racetrack complex.”
Scheduled to open in early fall, the $250-million Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course will feature 850 Video Lottery Terminals, a variety of food and beverage options, a sports bar and entertainment venue. The one-mile thoroughbred racing track, which opens for racing on Nov. 24, will have more than 1,000 enclosed, track-view grandstand seats and a state-of-the-art simulcast theater where patrons can wager on races at racetracks throughout the United States. Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course is located on Ohio Route 46 (Canfield-Niles Road) just south of the I-80 interchange in Austintown Township.
