‘Jamie Marks Is Dead’ at Cleveland theater

“Jamie Marks Is Dead,” the film adapted from the novel “One for Sorrow” by Youngstown State University professor Christopher Barzak, will open Aug. 29 at the Capitol Theater, 1390 W. 65th St., Cleveland. Show times will be at 1:10, 4:10, 7:10 and 9:40 p.m. that day. Go to clevelandcinemas.com for information. The film also will open in theaters in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and several other cities, but it is not scheduled to open that weekend in the Youngstown area. Directed by Carter Smith, the film is a ghostly coming-of-age tale starring Cameron Monaghan (pictured at left), Liv Tyler, Judy Greer, Morgan Saylor and Madisen Beaty.
