Published: Wed, April 30, 2014 @ 11:42 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — Police reports said U.S. Marshals serving an arrest warrant Tuesday morning at a home in the 100 block of South Portland Avenue on the West Side found 17 marijuana plants in various stages of growth.

Police cited David Leaghty, 30, on a misdemeanor charge of illegal cultivation of marijuana. Reports said he opened the door for officers and they found the plants after a search of the home for the person they were looking for.

Some of the plants were up to 3 feet tall, reports said. Police also found two grow lamps and two scales, reports said.

He wasn't a very serious grower was he? You could grow that many plants in a damn closet.
