Package stolen from Austintown woman's home

Published: Tue, April 29, 2014 @ 10:12 a.m.

AUSTINTOWN — A resident reported a package was stolen from her doorstop Monday.

The female told authorities she ordered a tire rim off eBay and it should have arrived by April 11. After contacting UPS, she discovered the package was delivered by United Parcel Service at 7:43 p.m. April 10. Authorities are investigating.

Check with the neighbors. UPS has delivered more than one to us at the wrong house. 1 sat on the porch across the street for 3 days, people at that house never saw it. Ask UPS specific location it was put.

I know this person and I am 99.99999% sure she was either drunk, high, or both when this happened. It's probably at a neighbors house. Just last week, I watched a UPS driver get out of his truck, walk up to a house with an ENORMOUS porch, put a big, BIG, box on the 2nd step from the top, in the rain....and then leave. This particular house gets lots of deliveries from FedEx, UPS, etc, and each time someone delivers to this house, the box is always treated like garbage. 123goz is right, though. Check the neighbors before filing a police report!! And then the Vindy will deem it newsworthy because a lady who loses a box just NEEDS to be in the newspaper!!!! (Sarcasm, if you can't tell)
