Boardman police arrest man on burglary warrant

Boardman police arrested a 24-year-old Younngstown man on a burglary warrant from an April 20 incident.

Keith Johnson Jr. of West Ravenwood was arrested by US Marshals at his home on Friday and taken to the Mahoning County Jail.

Police responded to an "in progress burglary" at 11:17 p.m. April 20 on Hopkins Road.

The burglar was in the homeowner's driveway when she arrived home that night.

When police arrived the suspect was gone.

A $1,500 computer, $300 TV, miscellaneous jewelry, a safe, a $650 laptop, a $1,000 TV, a $100 surround sound system and a $300 Play Station III were all taken from the residence.

An estimated $700 in damage was done to the home.

A court date has not been set for Johnson.
