ALLIANCES

Ohio Cultural Alliance will have a dinner meeting at 6 p.m. May 5 at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. Dr. Charles Sung will present “Old World Traditions Lost and Retained — South Korea.” Misook Yun, lyric soprano, will provide cultural enrichment. Take paper products for the Gleaners Food Bank. ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 10 a.m. May 3 at the Belmont Goodwill Cafeteria, 2747 Belmont Ave., Youngstown. After a continental breakfast and business meeting, the speaker, Sue Miller, will present “Vintage Roadshow.” Members can take one or two items for appraisal and are encouraged to take something for the white elephant sale. Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. May 13 at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Dan Gonder, local radio personality and host with Clear Channel Radio, will be the guest speaker. The menu consists of roast pork, pasta marinara, oven-browned potatoes, salad, rolls, coffee or tea and dessert. Guests are welcome. POLITICAL CLUBS

Canfield Republican Women’s Club will have a luncheon at noon May 7 at A La Cart, Lisbon Street in Canfield. The meal will include applesauce, stuffed pork chop, peas and carrots, salad and chocolate cake. The cost of the dinner is $15 per person. D.A.R.E. Singles Group, which meets at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman, has planned the following: 7 p.m. Saturday, bowling at Boardman Lanes; 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, meeting at Panera’s; 7 p.m. Tuesday, dance classes at Judy Conti’s in Austintown; 7 p.m. Wednesday, DQ night in Cornersburg; and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, new-member meeting at the church.
