Published: Mon, April 21, 2014 @ 4:23 p.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — After three hours of deliberations, a jury found Lamar Reese, 21, of Worthington Street, guilty of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery with firearm specifications this afternoon in the shooting death of 17-year-old Josh Davis during a marijuana deal.

Judge Maureen A. Sweeney of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court will impose sentence at a later date.

Davis was fatally shot on the front porch of a Willis Avenue house Sept. 16, 2011.

The trial of Frankie Hudson, 21, of Falls Avenue, on the same charges in this incident is scheduled to begin June 23.

I'm shocked. I thought for sure the jury would recognize his situation and the idea that he did it in self defense. It wasn't his fault that Mr. Davis was a snitch.
