‘Music Man’ concert at playhouse

NEW CASTLE, PA.

SDLqThe Music Man Concert Version,” directed by Neal Edman, will open Thursday at the New Castle Playhouse, 212 E. Long Ave.

The show is a concert staging of Meredith Wilson’s classic Broadway musical about a con man who convinces townsfolk of the importance of starting a band. It includes the songs “Ya Got Trouble,” “Seventy-Six Trombones” and “Till There Was You.”

Performances will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and next Saturday, and 2 p.m. April 27.

For reservations, go to newcastleplayhouse.org or call 724-654-3437. Tickets are $16 ($13 for seniors and students, $11 for children under 12).
