Tell us: Where is the worst street in the city of Youngstown?

Published: Tue, April 15, 2014 @ 5:06 p.m.

If you drive on city streets - or avoid them at all cost - in Youngstown with potholes the size of moon craters, we want to hear from you! If you know where we can find the worst maintained, most pot-hole-strewn, most dangerous byway in the city of Youngstown, tell Dave Skolnick at skolnick@vindy.com or call him at 330-747-1471, Ext. 1264. You can even tweet about your street to @dskolnick on Twitter. We'll publish a list of the best of the worst in a future Vindicator.

Most streets in the downtown area are undesirable due to excess, uncoordinated traffic lights.

Oh, you mean rough surfaces?

All of those mentioned in the other posts and then some.

McCartney Road from the Lincoln Park bridge to SR616. This road causes more flat tires and broken rims than the rest of them all put together. Looks like something from war torn Kosovo. Fred Flintstone had smoother roads to drive on.

Wick Ave along the YSU campus. Absolutely terrible and that is where a lot of out of town visitors first see Youngstown.

I think Austintown roads are the worst. Bent rims and blown tires on Four Mile and Norquest

Maybe not in Youngstown proper, but have you seen Lipkey Rd. lately? Or even worse, Gladstone Rd. between Lipkey and Route 45.

I don't see the union president, Rich Sandberg, on here telling us how much better off we are now that he had his way by not having prisoners helping patch the roads. And where is ttup1rd, who defends these workers even though they clearly aren't doing their jobs after a month of warmer weather?

This whole Valley smells to high heaven of corruption, nepotism and flat-out laziness. It's no wonder business look here and just keep on going.
