Students will share their research endeavors as Youngstown State University’s Beeghly College of Education hosts the 11th Annual Educational Research Exchange on Friday.
The ERE is an annual miniconference sponsored by YSU and supported by Cleveland State University, Kent State University and the University of Akron. Conference events will take place in Kilcawley Center from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will include breakfast, refreshments and lunch.
Richard A. McEwing, YSU professor emeritus, will give the keynote address at 1 p.m. in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center. McEwing has an M.A.T. degree in Science Education from Harvard University and a doctorate from the University of Colorado in Social Foundations of Education. He also was a department chairman, assistant dean and interim dean in the Beeghly College of Education.
The primary objective of ERE is to provide a learning environment where students can gain professional skills and experiences in presenting their research. Through this exchange, students are able to build professional relationships with other students and faculty, and gain experience with conference presentation.
